This region is widely thought to be the birthplace of coffee.
Yirgacheffe is a province of Ethiopia, Africa. it is said that a goat herd named Kuldee watched his goats acting peculiar one day and followed them to see what they were eating.
he tried the lovely red berries and soon found high energy… he immediately reported the strange fruit to the elders of the town and the beans (Kaffe) were harvested and consumed raw for many years. it was a well kept secret.
we roast this light because it has a lovely citrus tone at this roast level. The dry finish lifts from the palette and smells divine. certainly a lovely breakfast coffee choice that leaves you reaching for your cup chasing the end notes of the brew.
